Hakuna Matata

Sunglasses - Armani
Shirt- Batoko.com
Skirt- American Apparel
Shoes- Jeffery Campbell
Backpack- Coach
This outfit is super causal and comfortable. I love this shirt, its so fierce and reminds me of The Lion King only the best Disney movie ever. This outfit had me bopping around all day singing the catchy tune "Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze, It means no worries for the rest of your days
It's our problem-free philosophy..." which ends up being really annoying to the people around you. Clothing with megestic animals like wolves and big cats has been a huge trend since mid-winter, I plan on carrying into my spring wardrobe with cut-offs and dresses. New York hasn't had any spring weather yet but Ive been stock piling clothes since september and ill be ready when it comes. - Phoebe

Play Ball

Jacket-Goodwill
Shirt-Ebay
Circle Skirt-American Apparel
Shoes- Jeffery Campbell
Backpack- Coach
This red Coca Cola shirt was an awesome find, ebay can by your best friend if take the time to investigate thoroughly. I always make sure the sellers rating are high and that they are shipping from the US, to avoid customs complications. Im not one of those people you gets creeped out by worn clothing so Ebay's vintage possibilities are endless. I originally saw a shirt similar to this on batoko.com but I refused to pay $27 for some thing that only appears vintage. Thus I hunted down this baby for the great price of $10, which ended up being the perfect pop of color in these awkward transition weeks. The wool and suede hat im wearing I tore from to bowels of my moms closet I have know I idea where or when its from but the tag says Head Master. Its a sick piece! I love finding things like this without even leaving my house. -x0x0x0 Phoebe

Simpson Sunday

Bart Simpson Shirt-  www.Sheinside.com
Cream Cut Out Sweater- www.Sheinside.com
Circle Skirt- American Apparel
Socks- American Apparel
Shoes- Jeffery Campbell
In the fashion blogosphere I have seen a bunch of monocromatic and matchy matchy looks. At first I was cautious of the style, thinking that it looked immature and that it doesn't take a lot of fashion sense to pair red with red. But ive grown to appreciate the boldness of a well thought out matchy look. My take on the style is very toned down and wearable, just pulling out two colors and accenting them. This style is a great way to display your attention to detail. When forming a matchy matchy look, the corresponding item's colors should be close to identical. Try limiting the entire outfit to only three colors and maintain a constant hue, my look plays on all burnt subdued colors.
Disclaimer- I did recieve the button down and cream sweater for free from Sheinside.com but all opinions are my own.

DIY Quickie: Flower Crown

This is a look I posted on my other blog last summer. This picture got so much response on Tumblr I thought I would share some unseen photos with you guys and a few images of me making the flower halo.  Its not spring yet so this outfit isnt a very useful stimulant but hopefully the DIY portion brings you some inspiration. - Phoebe

This DIY is very straight forward. I bought fake silk flowers from the craft store and popped them off their stems. Next I found an old athletic headband that fits comfortably lose around the crown of my head. Finally I hot glued the flowers onto the headband alternating the flowers by size (big flower, little flower, big, little, big, little...).  Sorry for the poor quality Iphone pictures!
